Should I transfer?

Well the basics are:

I'm a freshman (well my credits here make me technically a sophomore) at the University of Tampa. I'm also from New Jersey.

I was considering transferring. Just got accepted at UCF and waiting to hear back from Rutgers New Brunswick (which I was accepted last year). But here is why i'm stuck.

I do enjoy it here at UT, but it is really small and after visiting my friends at their bigger schools (visited my friends at Rutgers about 4 times, loved it every time), it was a blast and I was upset that I didn't choose a bigger school. But the thing is, here at UT I have been so lucky to provided so many opportunities. I have 92 hours of volunteer hours, I'm a volunteer coordinator at the volunteer center, I work at the Office of Student Leadership and Engagement where I have been able to become really close with the Dean of Students and other significant faculty members. I'm also the Co-Captain\Co-Founder of UT's first field hockey club and president of our volunteer club of 50 members on campus. Last semester I was able to finish with a 3.83 GPA and i'm a psychology major.

So clearly I know I have a lot going on for me here, and if I transfer to a bigger school getting this involved may be a lot harder.

Also, financially it is troubling, my parents just filed for bankruptcy and my mom has had to dip into her retirement money to afford the monthly payments which I feel I could never forgive myself for. I already have 2 jobs at school but that's still not enough getting paid only $7.50 an hour at 16 days a week. If I go to Rutgers I believe it is only 18,000 a year because i'm in state, where as here at UT it's 16,000 a semester.

Any advice? :)

I also go to a smaller school where I have been allotted numerous opportunities. However, who is to say that you cannot get even more involved at Rutgers where there are a plethora of clubs a tune to a variety of interests. Also because of your financial situation I suggest that go to Rutgers where it will be much more realistic financially.Rutgers is a great school! Good luck with your decision!

Def go to Rutgers!
