I've taken the SAT twice and my scores were as follows:

Oct:
CR 630
M 650
W 630
ess: 8
total: 1910

Dec:
CR 630
M 600
W 630
ess: 8
total: 1860

my goal is to break 2000, but I have honestly tried very hard.
Should I try the ACT?

I found the ACT to be easier, and my scores reflect that. I say give it a try, really what do you have to lose?

Are you a junior or a senior? If you are a senior and can only take one more test, it might help to stick to the SAT since you are comfortable with it. That being said, if you can really put in the effort to familiarize yourself with the ACT and prepare well, try the ACT.

The big upside about the ACT, at least in my experience, is that there are only 4 sections. Unlike the SAT where you constantly have to transition between math, reading, and writing, the ACT has just 4 sections - 1 for each subject.

I’m a junior right now, so I still have some time. Preferably, I would like to continue with the SAT but if that doesn’t work, I think I’d take the ACT.

I’m been prepping for SAT since 7th grade (no joke, when I took it for CTY and got 360 CR 690 M 360 W, my mom freaked out and blablabla)
I’m a junior now and my highest score from practice is 2100, with 2000 PSAT.

BUT GUESS WHAT? I found out about ACT at the summer, prepped like 4 hrs per week at the month before dec test, and got a 34.

If one test doesn’t work for you, the other one is probably better.

I think the ACT is MUCH easier.
