I took the SAT in january and got a 1790, but this is not high enough for many of the UK schools that I want to go to (need around 1900-2100), so should I try to take the SAT again, or should I study more for the ACT and take it instead? I am god awful in science; it's that subject I make A's in but if you asked me one thing about it I wouldn't be able to answer. So, I am weary at attempting the ACT. What would be the best option?

Very, very little of the science portion actually tests your knowledge at the science you are familiar with in school. The whole section is primarily about tables and graphs, and if you are at least half decent at comprehension, I see no reason not to attempt it.

Oh, well looky there! I thought I would actually have to know scientific terms and what not. Well thank you.

No problem, give a few practice tests a try if you haven’t already.

Thank you, I will try them this weekend! You are very nice!

Appreciate it! Good luck in the UK - miss it!

I agree, sometimes it is luck of the draw. There are often some esoteric concepts being tested on the science section on certain tests that maybe you do not completely understand. Bizarre graphs and charts and a plethora of information that asks you to relate them all to each other… too much for me!

get a review book, I got the Princeton Review cracking ACT and it helped pretty well. It’s sort of difficult to refer to things in it though if you don’t understand the concept. The only questions I get wrong on english are the ones that involve commas… every time…

Okay thanks guys! I will definitely get one of those Princeton review books. I ended up signing up for another SAT in April, and the ACT in April also! Why not!
