Should I try to get late-testing?

On Tuesday I'm taking both Environmental Science and Psychology. The problem is that I'm taking Enviro at one school, and registered to take Psych at another. The schools are 20 minutes apart. I'm registered for Psych at my school, so I wondering if it would be wise to try to get a late exam ordered for me rather than risk not making it to the exam in time.

Are there generally huge delays during the exam? The Enviro exam will begin at 8, lasts 3 hours, and when you factor in a 10 minute break and instructional/random delays of 20 minutes, I'll probably be out of there at 11:30. Then, if it takes 20 minutes to drive back to my psych location, I would make it there at 11:50, just in time for the 12:00 exam.

Is this plan utterly unrealistic? Do you think I should plan otherwise?

It’s a bit late to really do anything about it now I think. Maybe you can let the other school know where you’re coming from so they’ll wait for you.

In my school district, Calc BC was at one school and Chinese was at another, about ten minutes away. They held the Chinese test for the few BC kids who needed to get there. Just let your AP coordinator know and it should be ok :]

ETA–delays in exams depend on proctors and if kids get there on time (some proctors will wait for latecomers, some won’t). I’ve had exams go wayyy late, and we’re generally surprised when they start on time.

yeah, but I would feel terrible about holding them up. The way its scheduled, the psych exam should end EXACTLY in time for us to go home on the regular buses. If I hold things up, EVERYONE would have to stay at school until the 4:15 buses (or atleast those of us who don’t have parking priveleges at the school). After a grueling two weeks of AP’s, that would suck, and I personally would’t want to be the reason behind that.

Does the timetable I’ve set up look reasonable? Like would the exam, 10 minute break and 20 minute buffer period be realistic? Or are the delays much longer?

I think your plan is reasonable, but the 20 minute buffer might concern me. I think IF the environmental exam starts on time, you should be fine. You should let the school you’re taking Psych at know regardless. Most likely, you’ll be on time and it won’t matter. But if something does get delayed during your morning exam, they’ll probably still let you take psych.
