I have applied to MANY colleges. For the financial aid tax returns, I used the previous tax returns. My parents recently did their new tax returns and nothing is different really. The only difference is the total income which is a few hundred dollars less. Should I update everything or do the financial aid offices not care for such a slight difference?

When you and your parents complete and file your taxes, you need to update the FAFSA, and link your FAFSA to your tax returns at the IRS. The instructions are right there on the FAFSA website.

You need to contact each of the colleges/universities that you sent the Profile to, and ask them what info. they want from you for their own updates. Don’t be surprised if each place asks for something different.
