Should I update my application with this?

I recently received a $1,000 scholarship through my insurance agency. There were about 9 recipients from Maryland, Delaware, and parts of Penn and Virginia. But I don't know how many applied

Is this too trivial or is it worth it to update my app.

Thanks

Why are you still working on your app?

But anyway, if there are only about 9, go ahead. Whatever would make you look good.

I mean should I send an email to update it, or not?

Definitely email. They’ve been reading applications for a while.

asian 25 congrats on the scholarship but I think this would make or break the deal good luck

Sorry I left out the “not” it would NOT make or break the deal

agree… can’t hurt, but email, don’t send in mail.

Also, does anyone know who this should be done. Email/mail and to whom.

Thanks

What exactly is wrong with sending it by postal mail? I sent an updated resume/letter of continued interest a few weeks ago by regular mail, only because I couldn’t figure out what email address I should be sending to.

jw, isnt it kinda late now to be updating ur app? i’ve heard that most colleges are already done with decisions by the beginning of march & then just wait for a few weeks b4 releasing them to build up anticipation or something..

Actually, I got an email from Penn a week ago asking for some missing stuff. I’m assuming they’ve JUST started looking at them.

Do you think that could make or break your application?

Answer that before sending it in.

So if not, then I should not send it in.

I sort of thought I was better to update you app, just because it showed you were still invested in the outcome

guys, I just noticed this on the New Posts site and thought I’d pass on the information given by Admissions Daniel to the Johns Hopkins applicants. He says that for them, any supplemental material has to be in by this Friday the 14th and it must be faxed or mailed (presumably speedy mail) NOT emailed. I’m guessing that most colleges with similar deadlines would feel the same. IMHO, email will get lost. FWIW. I don’t think stuff like this hurts but it may not help. Just don’t email it.

Harvard wants e-mail though… I called them. I think it’s different for different schools…

coolkid007 you are totally right. Call the school rather than assuming or speculating. It differs from school to school. I guess do it fast is the key!

Was it okay to fax as well as e-mail? (only, I included one more thing in fax than what I did in e-mail as I sent fax later than e-mail)

believe me, adcoms are not done by early march. they do a ton of crunchtime within the last two weeks to finalize the decisions

does anyone know the email to send updated information to?
