Hey,
I have 4 SAT subjects 770,740,800 and US history 620.
I am an international student and I don't know if I should submit all my test scores or just the top 3 test scores.

I never studied US history and I took this test because I think it is important to know the history of the country in which I want to study for the next 4 years. I was planning on adding a short letter (2-3 rows) to my application with the same explanation,

what do you think should I submit all the scores+ letter or just top 3 scores?

This is what their admissions blog says:

SAT Subject Tests: We will consider your top 2 Subject Test scores from different subject tests

[Dartmouth Admissions Uncommonly Asked Questions: What test scores will you look at if I have taken the SAT, Subject Tests, or ACT multiple times?](Dartmouth Admissions Uncommonly Asked Questions: What test scores will you look at if I have taken the SAT, Subject Tests, or ACT multiple times?)

If thats true then it doesn’t really matter if you use score choice.

OK but as a general advice should I use score choice on such grade?

No. All schools just look at your top 2 or 3 scores. Just send them. And don’t draw attention to your US History score by writing about it.

@Consolation so why not using score choice?

i would use score choice.

From what I’ve read it seems as if various schools have differing rules about what they will and will not do re score choice, so it seems like too much trouble since they’ll pick your two top SATII scores anyway. In your case, you have three good scores, so I don’t see the point. (Unless, of course, those three good scores are the result of retaking one or two specific SATIIs. It you retook, then score choice makes sense.)

I applied with a 610 subject test on the application. They aren’t trying to trick you when they say they look at the top 2.
