I am applying graduate school next fall, since most graduate program use rolling basis for admission. Should i wait to send the transcript untill the latest semster grade post? (assume i have 5As next semester which will help to raise my GPA.)
Thanks in advance for help!!!

Well, it depends, I suppose. First of all, if you don’t routinely get straight As or near-straight As, don’t assume that you will get straight As in your next semester, either.

But remember that in rolling admissions, usually the program won’t review your application until it’s complete. If your grades don’t come out until late December or early January, then the program staff probably won’t review your app until after they return from winter break - probably mid-to-late January. What are the chances of the program filling up by then?

If your current transcript is mediocre and the program is not-so-competitive - but you think your first semester grades will substantially pull up your overall transcript and GPA - then you may want to wait until you have your first semester grades. If you already have a good transcript, just go ahead and send it.

Thanks for reply! what GPA is considered competitive for civil, if i am shooting for top 30 programs? i have a ok GPA with 3.6 but most concerns me is i got C in my structure class last year, is that means i just ruined my chance of getting into any structure focused program?
