Should I wait to take the SAT math 2 test?

Hey guys!
I’m going to be a Junior this fall, and I want to start taking SAT tests as soon as I can. I’ve already taken SAT Biology, and got a good score. But, that’s because I consider myself really good at Biology, and I took AP Biology sophomore year.
I want to take the SAT Math 2 test soon, but I don’t know when. I took precalculus sophmore year , and got a 92 average. The teacher was really hard, and it took a lot to not have a failing grade. She gave advice to the class and told us to take the MAth 2 test at the end of the year. I didn’t listen because I was too busy with biology.
I thought that I could take it at the end of August, but I realized that I would be out of the country and wouldn’t be able to.

My next thought is to take it in October. My plan is to study over the summer and through September and then take it.
I’m scared that I would have forgotten a lot. I’m out of the country and brought the Princeton Review and Barron books with me. I made a scedule to go though the books and have time to take practice test before the test.
Do you think a month is too little to practice? Do you think my plan will work?
I’m not very confident in my math skills. I was given the opportunity to take Calc AB and declined because I thought it would be too much for me. I’ll be taking normal Calc. I’m kind of glad that it works out because I heard that the first month of calc is a review of algebra, geometry, and pre-calc, which is exactly what I need for the math 2.

I’m really anxious. I want to get the test over with, but i want to make sure I will get a good grade.
An opinion or advice will help. Thanks.

Your teacher is correct and the best time to take the SAT subject test Math level 2 is after precalculous. If you have the time to study, then you should take it in October. It is very hard to get through the entire exam in an hour so make sure you know how to use the formulas that are in your calculator. Also, there is a penalty for wrong answers so do not guess unless you have narrowed down the answers. Good luck!

Are there any strategies you or anyone else recommends? I know that you can leave some blank and still get an 800, but how to you do this? Which topics would you say are the most asked about?
Also, WHICH CALCULATOR IS RECOMMENDED? I have no idea! I’m planning to buy one soon.
