Should I withdraw all applications after getting into ED schools?

I know you technically should, and I got an amazing financial aid package. But, my parents are telling me that I shouldn’t withdraw my applications, becuause they’re afraid that my ED school could suddenly lower the aid they gave us or something. They’re telling me to not withdraw until I officially finalize my application with my ED school.

What do you guys think? I know I should withdraw, but now I’m scared that they could change the aid package, and I would end up with no school to go to.

Why would the aid package change?

Put in your deposit and withdraw the other applications as you are bound to do by the ED agreement.

@momofsenior1 Honestly my parents and I don’t know how aid works, and it said on their acceptence letter that my next steps should be completing my financial aid process. My parents were scared that this means the financial aid package could change.

Talk to the financial aid office first thing Monday. Tell them you got in ED, and are ready to commit as agreed, but the financial offer’s wording was confusing to you and you want to make sure it is firm.

You do not have to withdraw your other applications until the aid is final. I think the question you are trying to figure out is, “Is the aid final?”. It probably is, but if you need to confirm that for your peace of mind, so so as quickly as possible so you can live up to your agreement to withdraw the other apps.

^ What @Groundwork2022 is saying. Once you have received a firm offer of FA and assuming you are not planning to appeal you can go ahead and withdraw other apps. In fact, you and your parents have signed an agreement saying you would do that so it’s binding on your part to do so. Make sure there are no outstanding questions and proceed as appropriate. Congrats!
