Should I withdraw rather than get a bad grade?

I recently transfered to a different college. My gpa reseted. I am currently taking a total of 12 credit (all general ed requirements). I haven't taken any of my major classes yet. I'm struggling with my political science writing intensive class. The class is face paced and I find myself falling further and further behind. I am behind 4 papers. I handed in 1 late and received a border-line grade of a 65 with a comment saying he will not take any other late assignments. This means even if I finish the other 3 paper I missed, he will NOT take them. I'm really contemplating about dropping the class and take yet another W. At my previous college I already stacked up 2 w's. I plan on going to graduate school but I fear this many w's will hinder me from getting into top graduate programs. I know it is still pretty early in the semester but I am really dreading the class. Quite frankly, that is the only class I don't enjoy attending. If that's not bad enough, I'll be taking a total of 9 credits which will put me at part time (affect tap)...

If you are having trouble with classes requiring writing, you should try to get help. Most colleges and universities have some sort of writing center where students can get help. If you take another W, you need to be careful that your financial aid isn’t affected. I believe all classes attempted are counted, and you have to be successful in a certain percentage or you can lose financial aid eligibility. Ask your college to help you figure this out. Do you have an advisor you can speak with?
