Hi!
So I’m applying to MIT (RD), and I need a science test.
I took the Chem subject test in June and got 690 (not the greatest, 50th percentile.)
I don’t believe I can retake it; I don’t really know chemistry well enough and I’m surprised I even got that high of a score.
I did do really well in AP Bio my sophomore year (I’m a senior), but I never took the subject test. I miggghtt be able to study up for that and do alright by the December test, my former Bio teacher strongly recommended I do that.
The rest of my scores are fine, (I haven’t taken the math 2 subject test, but based on practice tests I presume it will be fine), and the rest of my application is pretty strong, I believe.
So should I worry about taking the Bio subject test (I’m not sure if I’d do E or M)?? or is a 690 at least somewhat adequate??
