Hey im worrying about my acceptance (ea) being revoked because my grades this first semester have dipped. I had a 3.84(UW) when i applied, and this semester I will probably have

AP Chem - C
AP LA 12 - B
AP Calc - B
Photography - A
Piano - A
Buisness Comm - A

All of those bad grades are in very hard classes, and these classes are like the toughest offered at my school.

It is not only that, but next semester, I will be taking photography off(I will have a study hall) because I have 4 ap's next semester so I thought it would be good to have an open class. I am also switching from AP Calculus to the normal Calculus class because I will not be taking the AP.

Any thoughts on all this? Am I fine or should I worry?

I don't know that you should worry but I think you may need to contact Yale about changing from AP Calculus. The school based their decision on what you said you planned to take for the year and you may need to run this by them to make sure they don't have a problem with it.

My son was accepted ED to another school and in his acceptance letter they clearly stated that any schedule/class changes needed to be approved by the school. Don't know how the Yale EA letter reads but you might want to check with Yale or your school counselor first before making the change.

thanks, I will run it by them but do you think they will approve??

Since you are currently taking only 3 academic courses--unless you've left something off the list or Business Comm is not what it sounds like--it's hard to see how you can drop an AP and somehow end up with 4 APs. (It also makes me really wonder about their vaunted interest in "rigor." )

In any case, since have a stated policy what's the point of asking here? Call Yale and ask them.
