Should I?

Another thread about indecision, sorry.

I'm really not sure if I should apply for QB. My family income (about 50k, but highly variable) is on the high-ish end of that of accepted applicants, though because living costs are relatively low here and we're frugal, we don't feel great financial hardship. Financial aid is a big deciding factor for my parents, and I'm interested in a good number of the partner colleges. However, if I apply for Questbridge, I'd give up opportunities for scholarships from schools that I could apply to Early Action. This is my main concern. Is the risk worth giving up EA?

It's a little over 2 weeks away from the deadline, and it's a bad time to get cold feet. I've got my essays typed up, and am expecting my recommendation this week so I could make the deadline if I decide to do it. I just really don't know whether or not I will.

There’s a reason why Questbridge is for kids with low income and hardships. It’s not for padding the resume…just my $0.02

I’m not in it for prestige; I don’t really see how QB (College Match) could add to a resume. I’m just wondering if it would be worth sacrificing the EA applications for the very unlikely chance I’ll get matched to a college.

Im sorry for trolling, I was having a bad night. If I were you, I’d go for Questbridge.

Meh, happens to everyone. So you’re sure it’s worth the risk?

OP

Many kids who went via QB did so because there was NO other funds for school.

Are you thinking of applying to other schools with merit aid because your parents can cover the gap? If not, I would say you should apply via QB. JMO

Good Luck
