the college i want to get into requires good grades etc. Old SAT 1040-1230 (whic is, 1248-1476 New SAT right?) i got a 1422 sould i retest?

you are way wrong on the old sat to new sat conversion. a 1040 on old would be a 1560 on new (old X 1.5= new) and a 1230 would be around an 1850. also how do you have 1422? how do you have the 2 as the 4th digit? sat goes by 10s. i would definitely retake it cuz you're not even in the lower range.

i just added it up:

reading: 530

math: 350

writting: 490

1370?

Have you taken your math through trig?

no Alg 2 next year (SR)

is that a problem?

i don't know where you want to go to college, but you need Alg 2 for the SATs (well for some parts)

What is your actual score? 1370 or 1422 in your original post? I'm guessing 1370 because you can't get a 1422. A 1040-1230 range translates to approximately 1560-1845. So yes, if you want to get into this school, you should try to improve your score and take the test again.

Maybe you should try the ACT, it's less tricky than the SAT I.

Maybe? Fo shore. 1370 New? ...
