The main reason I ask is because I've been doing graphic design for fun on and off since middle school, but this year (my senior year) is the first time I've taken a digital art class. My teacher suggested putting some of my work into an art supplement, but the idea hadn't even come to mind until she mentioned it. I don't feel qualified, but I want to let colleges know a little about what I do in my free time.

I also play the piano, but have never entered competitions or anything, and have participated in sports shortly before having to quit because of medical issues. Are these things appropriate for the Additional Information section?

I have no idea as to if any of this information is even worthwhile.

I think that would be appropriate for the Additional Information section, or you may just want to include your hobbies on your resume under Hobbies and Interests. I think schools like to see you are well-rounded with your interests, even though they might not be at a competitive level. If you are passionate about your artwork, you may also think about making your essay on that topic. And as long as the school doesn’t specifically say NOT to include an art supplement, why not copy your best images onto a CD and include it with your app?? My son did this when applying to film schools and even designed a CD label with his original artwork on it. (ps: he was accepted to all!) You can purchase the CD label makers at any office supply center. Good luck to you!

Thank you for the reply! :)
