Should letters of recommendation be signed?

I invited an “other” recommender in the Common App to write a recommendation letter for me. Will he need to print the document, sign it, scan it, and attach it? Or there will be an option to sign electronically? Thanks

Mine are all uploaded to Naviance, so none carry a signature.

In the past, when I submitted a hard copy to guidance, I signed them.

So it probably depends on your school. I recently wrote a letter for the son of a friend, as an “other” recommender. I emailed it to his guidance counselor so it could be uploaded onto Naviance.
