As the title says, should one bring a bicycle to UCLA for transport? What would be the possible pros/cons

Ex(s):
-Not having a place to keep a bike?
-Easily stolen?
-Easy transport?
-Etc.

Thank you

I’d so no because of too many hills. I use a scooter that works pretty well because it’s effortless downhill and light enough to roll uphill easily.

What percentage of people actually ride bikes to class? Is it unusual for people to bike? Are there plenty of bike racks to lock them to? I’m going to be living in University Apartments and wonder if it would be beneficial to bike to class from there.

less than 5% maybe? most people just walk, some skateboard or scooter, i would say if you have a cheap bike then might as well bring it just incase you are running late or something

OK to ride a bike TO campus, but tricky ON campus because of the terrain (hills, steps, etc.).

Biking usually saved me a good 10 minutes off my walk, IF i was going downhill. You still go faster than other walkers when biking uphill (I usually bike up Strathmore/Bruin Walk to De Neve), but it’s going to be a hard workout at first.
