I am a senior, and have taken the SAT twice. Superscored, I have a combined total of 2280 (800 CR, 800 W, 680 M).

I realize this is definitely a high score, but for a student like myself, would it be at all beneficial for me to attempt to take the ACT as well?

I think taking both tests is always a good idea because they test a different knowledge type, but only if you have the time. As a senior you need to focus on completing the applications and essays; if taking the ACT fits into your schedule then it is a good option. If you do not have time to dedicate to test prep or if it will distract you from other tasks, then it will likely be a waste of money.

You do not have to send your score until after you receive the results of the test so it doesn’t hurt to take the ACT. If you score poorly (or lower than your SAT) then just don’t send the scores to colleges.
