Should SAT be a computer based exam?

In my opinion it would be quite better, scores could be given much faster and corrections could be made in an easier way.

I also think it would help a lot with paper saving. Just enough paper to do math calculations.

What do you think :)?

You’d still need a human to grade the essay…also, you’re giving the test to an extremely large population, if 1,000 people are taking the SAT on any given test day at some school, and the school only has a couple computer labs, you’re in a bit of a problem.

Personally, it’s harder for me to take a test on a computer - I like being able to physically mark the text. That being said, I think there should be an option to take it on a computer for schools who have the resources and students who don’t mind…

Can not stand taking tests on a computer.

I have found that using computer based exams help meet the diverse needs of exam administrators in the academic, certification and licensing realms. Computer based tests provide fair and easy access to everyone. Moreover, enabling the use of computers would improve readability, thereby simplifying the grading process and deter cheating.
