To all the seniors, this is supposed to be our moment of waiting and senioritis, but in my school, the teachers are amping the difficulty up: more tests, an 8-page english paper due the same week as a 4-page one, etc. Everyone I talk to in my class says the same thing: "It's second semester, the one semester in our entire high school career where the points don't matter. So why do they bother?"

If your high school is getting at least a bit harder this half of the year, do you encourage it or oppose it? If you oppose it, what do you think should happen?

For me it would still be important to work hard so my GPA would keep getting higher. It’s a matter of personal satisfaction. Just keep those A’s rolling and your teachers do their job. :D

Eh, I don’t really know if they should ease up. It’s not like we have applications do…My classes took off a lot faster this semester than last, which was expected. Meh, I don’t mind.

My AP Stats test was on our last day of school. As in, the final bell rang, people were screaming throughout the hallway but we were still testing until 4:30 or so.

Meh, I guess I’ll be the one to say yeah ;)

I personally just eased up from 7 to 5 classes, but will make sure my GPA doesn’t tank. I think it’s important so you don’t burnout, and get to enjoy my senior year… But then again, I also went h.a.m. the other 3 years so I think I deserve a little rest. Just my opinion.

My classes are getting harder, but I am getting lazier.

I’ll allow getting B’s this 3rd quarter. I got straight A’s first semester, so I can afford to be a little laid back. Last quarter, it’s mostly preparing for AP, and I think that’s easy

Yes… I have both teachers that are easing up as they are not requiring homework for the next 3 weeks until the end of the quarter and teachers that are getting harder… Daily quizzes and loading us with the hugest “BS/busywork” projects in all of high school… While we are still eligible for this type of work. Gosh. Their rationale? It’s the last time you’ll ever have to do this stuff, but it’s going to be a long time.
