Hi everyone, I am an international applicant applying to several schools in the US, some of which are fairly competitive. I am completing my last year of High School in the US and I will major in Computer Science in college. I am getting two letters of recommendations from teachers, one from my current English teacher here in the US and the other one from the teacher in my home country.

My teacher in my home country has not had to write letters of recommendations for anyone outside Europe, so she was unsure if she should include the name of every university in each of her letters? She told me that she has already written my letter, and, if needed, she could make copies and include each university's name in every letter and then sign it and do the rest.

So I was wondering, should the letter be general and have an ending like "student "x" is capable of this, that and this, and I am sure that he/she will thrive in the college life and be able to contribute to the college itself..."

or

"Student X is an outstanding student and I am certain that he will add to the University of South California's academic excellence..."

So, those were just examples, I was just wondering if the college would find it suspicious and tacky if the teacher named the name of the college I wanted to apply to? I mean, do you think the college will think "how did she know the student would want to apply here", or would they like the fact of being mentioned in the letter??

Thank you very much, I'd really appreciate your replies!
