I sent my deposit and enrollment agreement form exactly one week ago, but have heard nothing from Colgate. Should I be getting something in the mail, like a packet of information about orientation, wilderness trip, signing up for classes ect? Or at least a letter confirming that I am enrolled?

Also,
Random question, but does anyone know of any web sites that might have the stats of the incoming class. All i want to know is how many freshmen said yes. I know a lot of schools are having unusually high yields this year, and was wondering if that was tue of Colgate also. Thanks

The schools are having unusually high yields because they waitlisted a HUGE number of applicants to see what would happen with the numbers this year.
This is probably going to happen next year also and onward till the boom ends (2-4 years tops?).

if they waitlisted many appliacnts, wouldnt it mean that the quality of students accepted was at the upper end of colgate students- meaning that the yield would be lower, since colgate would lose alot of their acceptees to ivys and other top lac's?

Actually, I forgot where I read this, but a lot of schools (not 100% sure if colgate did this too) waitlist their 'Top' applicants because they think that they will enroll at a 'better' school. Thus they increase their yield and if a student shows continued interest in the school, then they admit them off the waitlist.

It's kind of early still to know how many said yes, probably deposits are still coming in over the nex few days and then they will go to the waitlist.

However, it's likely when they do post the results they will be here:

The packet(s) come a bit later. Maybe a couple of weeks if I recall, but one in May and then again in June. There will be two or three. I may be wrong but I think the packet with FSEM and courses and schedules come later.
