So it was brought up that a Drivers’ License is also along the same lines as the draft… Does that mean that you were also forcibly agreed into contract that you would obey motor vehicle laws?

I don’t want a draft. I don’t think a draft is the best solution for most incidents. HOWEVER if there is a draft, YES women should be eligible for the draft. They expect to be able to be a government official, a law enforcement officer, possibly the President!! But they don’t have to join the military in a TIME OF NEED???

You said it was a contract. I simply pointed out the fact that contracts are a matter of civil law, and thus the consequence for registering for selective service and then not showing up when there is a draft is getting sued in civil court, not prison. Last I looked, breach of contract isn’t even a crime that can be litigated in criminal court.

The contract of selective service brings up the issue of RIGHTS. Driving was long understood as a privilege.

We already know you’re anti-government. You seem like a person who if he were to witness a law enforcement officer being overwhelmed by a group of people, you would watch as the LEO gets beat and do NOTHING to help.

Everything is about YOU. News Flash— the world doesn’t revolved around YOU.

Reasonable person standard, round II: would a reasonable person jump into a big, angry mob of people and put their own safety at risk to save someone they don’t know?

So now it’s my obligation to put myself at risk of harm to save a law enforcement officer who I don’t know? Why should I risk getting beaten up myself and help a stranger? I’m sorry if I sound selfish, but I don’t think YOU would dive into a big mob to save someone you don’t know. By the way, you’re wrong. I’d walk away. I don’t want to get involved, and plus I COULD GET SUED by a group of litigious assailants for defending someone.

I didn’t say that. I said a group. That could be two or three people. And yes I would do SOMETHING if I saw an officer in need of help. If nothing else, I’d call for help!

That would get thrown out of court so fast it wouldn’t even be funny!

Why do those who are against females being able to be drafted feel they should get every right and privilege that males get but shouldn’t have the same obligations as males?

Yes, females should have every right, privilege and obligations as males, and perhaps when females actually have every right and privilege as males, nobody will object to females having every obligation as males. (And if you need to ask what rights and privileges males have that females do not, there is no point in continuing this discussion.)

No, if I were the lawyer I would shoot myself in the head in the middle of court because I was a lawyer, and a mistrial would immediately be declared, ending the suit.

How is that natural selection? Darwinism, perhaps, if I didn’t already have two kids by two different mothers. But there’s nothing natural about suicide. It might seem like second nature to lawyers and mental patients, but it doesn’t really occur in nature, now does it?

Lemmings don’t count. They’re just really, really confused.

I hope you know more about laws governing corporate entities than you know about evolution, or you will make a pretty lame CL.

Also, WHEN are you going to get to NYU? You’ve been a ‘future’ student for almost two years now. Just how long have you been waitlisted for?

Lemmings were herded off the cliff by people…

Dntw8up, we are talking about equality under the law. What laws do you know that discriminate against women, that have not been blessed by SCOTUS?

By the way, if you haven’t noticed from your week of stalking me, I’m already IN NYU. If you need to know (you should already know, considering you’ve been stalking me for a week) I got in early decision. The fact that you didn’t notice that proves you don’t have the intellectual firepower to survive law school. Hence you have your head up some i-banker’s ass.
