Should you discuss your resume in an essay

<p>So I have read a lot of supplement essay questions that ask why I am a good fit for the undergraduate school I'm applying to. I have read that you shouldn't talk about your resume in the essay but it is one reason I'm a good fit for my undergraduate school. Should I do</p>

<p>Don’t talk about your resume. The point of the essay is to learn something new. By repeating your resume the essay won’t be adding any value.</p>

<p>John F Kennedy once said: My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.</p>

<p>Along these same lines, don’t tell the colleges what they can do for you. Instead tell them what YOU can do to make their college a more lively and interesting place.</p>
