My son is taking Calculus BC. He received an A for the first semester. He is considering changing to Calc AB for his last semester. Will this trigger a need to notify colleges? Should he notify colleges of the change?

Yes, he should notify the colleges of the change. If he has applied to more selective schools the decrease in rigor could be a negative.
Yes Any changes to class schedule need to be communicated.

Why change now? He’s pretty much done with AB material at this point of very close to it.
And yes, he’s required to report the change.
