I was planning on applying to Tulane. I submitted an application and sent all of the stuff from my current college, transcript, etc. When I contaced an admissions advisor on how to proceed with my high school record (I have a CHSPE) I was informed that they don't accept the CHSPE and that I would have to take the GED and send them a copy of the GED certificate. At first I was going to do it, but now I have changed my mind. The GED is expensive, plus it seems silly to take the GED when the CHSPE tests at a higher grade level. I've also already well exceeded the level the GED tests at in my college classes. Taking the GED after a year of college level comp, college level calc, and two years of college level science classes with labs just makes no sense to me. Also, I think having the CHSPE disqualifies me from taking the GED anyway, so the admission advisor is basically telling me to break the law and commit fraud.

Do I need to inform the school that I will not be completing my application? Or is it okay just to leave it and let it close.

Now I'm down to applying to only two schools. I sure hope one of them takes me.
