Should you start buying prep books now??

Should you start buying prep books now to save time later and so that you can refer to them as you move along through your course? What is the best way to utilize these sources?

Also, what's the best prep book for AP Calc AB/BC? I'ved looked at Arco and PR but they both seem to have their pros and cons. Arco seems to have more information but is mainly hands-on based while PR doesn't have that much content but explains fairly well. Can anyone direct me to other reviews or provide their opinions?

Should you get the new 3rd Ed for Cliffs AP Bio? and Smarty Pants or the new Barrons for APES?

Thanks.

Yes some prep books are a good source of reference. However I don't think they should be used instead of reading chapters in the textbook. I tried doing that for APUSH. Yea I failed the quizzes on the chapters.

For AB/BC I am wondering about that also.

For AP Bio yea 3rd Ed would be good.

Also some prepbooks you should wait for until January 2008. Like for example AP Physics PR is coming up with a new prepbook so it'll probably be better than the normal one.

I bought all my prep books (8 of them) for this year already.

I don't like PR so I don't have to wait till January. The only book I'm waiting to buy is AP Stats by PR.

It wouldn't hurt, it can only help.

bump 10chars

yeah, i would buy them now, but save the practice tests for later.
