Should you take em??

I was just curious...If the school you want to apply to reccomends you take SAT II subject tests, should you take them? Will it give you a better chance of admission? Or does it not matter either way?
Schools such as Johns Hopkins and Northwestern reccomend you do and some will consider them. I guess it depends on how well you do..but what if you do really bad? Do you have to send in your scores?
I would be going in for a Music/Journalism program, so it's not like i'm going into a specific field. Just wondering if it would influence my chances.

buuummmpppp

Recommended = highly desired = do it just to be safe

If the school recommends it, it means it would really prefer that you take it otherwise you'll be put at a disadvantage when compared with the other applicants in the great pool of admissions..

It would be an excellent idea to take them, especially for JHU. If you do really bad you can choose to not report them.

You're likely applying to at least one school that requires them so take them anyways.
