Should you take the writing portion each time?

D took Act with writing for the first time last weekend. No prep, she just wanted to see where she stood to start things off. Based on previous standardized tests she has taken, there is a good chance that she will do well the first time and not want to take anymore. However, her school requires all juniors to take the ACT next April. If she gets a good score on writing this first time do you have to do the writing portion again or can she just take the other parts? The question came up at an event last night which is why I am asking now. For schools which allow superscore I assume it doesn't matter. But do other schools expect to see it each time?

Thanks in advance.

I woud always take the writing with it because many college require it, and say she did better then it would be a huge let down not to be able to use the scores. Anyways it only an extra 30 mins in the grand scheme of things.
