I'm currently a freshman in High School (yes i know it's early to worry about college) and i was wondering what kind of competitions are there for someone intersted in Politics, and Business? I just can't seem to see any around me. Got any ideas?

FBLA (business)

Well, I don't think I can "show" you any awards but there aren't that many competitions based in politics and business. Most high school competitions are math and science related. There are a few summer programs though.

yeah....attend some leadership conferences (not randomly though.....just research a bit)

Go to a few Model UN conferences and win best delegate/delegation.

NFL (National Forensic League) is useful if you're interested in politics.

Snoopy can you exlpain this NFL more?

Look on wikipedia.
Forensics = speech + debate + congress. Debate = Lincoln-Douglas + Policy + Public Forum. Speech = a laundry list of events like oratory, interp, extemp

if you plan to major in those subjects (or anything in that matter) you should also try some sports or just some rly random clubs like key club or spanish/french club....i just got my varsity letter for swimming :D...overall, ithink you should do any club. Not just those associated with buisness and politics

google "leadership in the business world wharton"

or LEAD. either way both of those are pretty selective, and I think the wharton program is only for juniors.

US Institute for Peace - National Peace Essay

DECA (marketing competition). You can compete on a regional, state and national level, and I'm fairly sure that the national level involves scholarships.
