Hey,
I’m applying to Brown ED and I know they put a lot of emphasis on interst. Apart form applying ED and writing in my apps, do you guys know any other way (a non annoying one/overwhelming one) that I can constructively show my interst to the University and how MUCH I WANT 2 GO THERE?!?!?
Thanks sooooo much! Any and all help is appreciated!

Go there for a visit and register for a tour and info session, if you are able to get there. If not, check out this part of the web site:

I don't think Brown keeps track of who visits, so going to an info session may not help (sorry, franglish).

The best way is to show it through your two short-answer responses.

A caveat: Yes, it is important to show interest. That means that Brown likes to accept students who have researched the school and express what they can contribute on campus. Many, many students who apply to Brown really really want to go there, and most of them don't get in (which is to be expected with an acceptance rate of 13%). And there will always be exceptional students who get in despite the fact that they just applied to every Ivy and didn't show specific interest in Brown.

Your best bet is to carefully research the website, get as much information about the school and its offerings, its professors and extracurriculars, and write a very specific short answer. Don't say "I'd like to study geology." Do say, "I'd am fascinated with geology because of (give some great specific reason) and I can't wait to take a class with Prof. James Head, because the work he has done with NASA and the Mars mission is the type of research I want to be involved in."

sorry but brown doesn't really give a crap how much you want to go here, beyond signing your name at an info session or asking some questions of an admissions officer (who probably won't remember your name), or through your essays (fireandrain is right on the money) There are a few techniques (pm me), but it's pretty insignificant unless you can get an admissions head interested in you.

SO many people want to go to Brown. Showing you want to as well won't set you apart.

I know for a fact that we don't record who comes in for info sessions or tours.
At least, we didn't as of last May...and I doubt that has changed.

No, they don't track it. I went to both yesterday and was not asked my name once, nor was anyone else.
