showdown: AP pHYSICS vs. Ap chemistry

which curve is harder?

i heard ap chemistry requires much higher while ap physics requires only 65 percent for 5.

can anyone inform me on this

Chem is like a 67%...or was a few years ago according to the 2002 test.

then physics?

okay at least for me, you have to realize a couple things about the AP CHem and the AP Physics (i'm assuming B) tests.

i'm taking both this year (took Physics already)

Physics = MUCH harder than Chem. Simple as that.

Therefore, curve on physics is more lenient (60% = 5)

however, chem isn't that far behind..... approximately 70% will give you a decent 5......

i'll get back to you on whether the 2006 Chem or the 2006 Physics B test was harder.

btw, if you're talkin bout Physics C, then the curve is more lenient for the Mech and E&M (around 50% for a 5 last time I checked)

well i'm taking chem this year and i took phys c last year (both e&m and mech) and the stuff in chem is definitely a lot easier to comprehend

o danks im in the same case as u are for ap chem i can get a 60 out of 75 and end up with a 5 easily

but today i took physics i felt like i got around a 40/70

but thought i got almost a 90 percent on frq just wondering if im still ont ract for a 5

90% on the FRQ? that's impressive.... i think i got like 80% probably..... but I might just be pessimistic.

you're on track for a 5, definitely.

Chem's a joke next to Physics C.

i took both Chem and Physics C, and I think AP physics is harder. The physics curve is more generous, but the AP chem math is really simple. AP chem isn't exactly easy, but physics is much, much harder.

For me, AP Chem was a lot easier to learn, which made me feel more confident going into the AP test. I really didn't like today's Physic B's frq. I like the mc over the frq.

all I could say is AP physics C is extremely difficult, or even insane compared to AP Chem.
