Shower Caddy for Guys? Seriously?

Do guys really carry those little shower caddies back and forth to the showers. I gues the question should be: What should a guy really bring with him to college and what shows up on these lists that is mostly hype or only a mother thinks you would use.

Yeah, I think not. Put it down along the lines of bringing pajamas and a robe.

If you're living in a traditional dorm, the bathroom can be a little ways down the hall. But I wouldn't worry about bringing things you don't think you'll use. St. Louis has plenty of stores, so you can buy it later if it turns out you might want something. There is a grocery store, a mall, and other stores like Target and an office supply store (can't remember which brand) easily accessible by the metro system/walking.

For some reason, I thought of Cadillacs.

So what DO guys use to carry shower stuff down the hall? Between toothbrush, paste, shampoo/conditioner, razor/shaving cream, it'd be hard to carry, while wearing a towel, I would think!

I ask because I haven't been able to find a shower caddy my son would carry...maybe this is the reason?

I have a D who was a WashU freshman and sister has a S who was a Northwestern freshman last year. We had great fun going to Target to their "College 07" section last year. They had a great plastic lined canvas tote with a large middle section and smaller sections all around the outside. My D lived in a suite at WashU where the bathroom was in the room but still used her tote. Four people can't leave everything they need piled in the shower! Nephew's bathroom was across the hall from his room and he also used his tote. Sister told me it came back completely gross and had to be thrown away- my D's came back perfectly fine and she will be using the same tote again in the fall. Sister thought she might buy her son a regular small bucket so he could just put all of his stuff in it. Manly, but servicable, and also could be cleaned out easily!

Something like this? <a href="http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?order_num=-1&SKU=13306958&RN=150&BTSMode=true&%5B/url%5D">http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?order_num=-1&SKU=13306958&RN=150&BTSMode=true&</a></p>

We use the small version of the BBB crate at home. My boys use it to keep their small items together instead of spreading out on countertop. Ours don't have holes in the bottom as the description reads in the link. Razors and toothbrush handles would fall through. Otherwise, they work well.
