Showering scene at Williams?

I just got my acceptance letter in the mail yesterday. Really excited. I'll be going to the Williams preview.

Im not sure what to bring. For preview students are the showers public or private? Do all the preview students shower together.

What should I bring to the preview?

Hahaha........

TexasGurl4, I'm going to assume that your question is for real. All of the dorm showers at Williams are private (unless of course the showerees choose to share). Congratulations on your acceptance.

"unless of course the showerees choose to share"-- hehe :D

well, that actually reminds me of something i was wondering about-- to what extent are the Williams dorms coed, if at all (which i presume they are)? i've heard the college is pretty lenient (and somtimes helpful) with regard to most aspects of the social scene.

All dorms are co-ed. I believe all floors are co-ed as well. You may not, however, have a co-ed roommate. With a few exceptions, all frosh dorms have single sex bathrooms. Those that don't, don't by choice (sometimes frosh choose to have two co-ed bathrooms rather than one of each men's and women's). After your frosh year, you effectively get to choose whether or not you have co-ed bathrooms. The bathrooms are private enough that it typically doesn't matter. I chose to have a co-ed bathroom (it's shared by 3 girls and 2 guys), and it's never been the slightest issue. If this is something you're uncomfortable with, it's fairly easy to avoid. I think it's more of an issue for larger bathrooms (bathrooms shared by an entire hallway). Williams bathrooms are typically shared from 0 (private bathrooms) to 7 other students. Frosh year my bathroom was shared by seven guys.

I'll just agree with Haon on this one. I shared with 5 girls (other than myself) freshman year and my dorm this year has a bathroom between every two single rooms.

In general, I think parents are more worried about the coed bathroom thing than students are.
