If you talk about wanting to major in engineering and the school does not have an engineering program, you will not be a good fit. Some schools that are very liberal or very conservative want to make sure that you know what kind of environment you are getting into. It doesn’t mean that a school with a very liberal culture won’t accept you if you are very conservative, but the school wants to make sure you are aware of the culture and how you might benefit from it.</p>
