Just to make sure, when the people at Haas say that they'll only consider students who have shown planned completion of the pre-requisites, they mean the students who've put all their remaining pre-requisites that they plan to take in winter and spring in the Winter and Spring quarter section of their UC application, right?
Or is there another way by which one needs to show that he has planned to complete the requirements?

I’ve got a 4.0 devolving into a 3.9 by the end of fall. Vice president of a club, Treasurer of another. Had an internship at an investment bank. I now work on campus as a tutor. All my prereqs except for the math 1A are done (I’m going to De Anza.)

Wow nice, your stats are quite similar to mine. However there are no IB around De Anza so mind if I ask where or which IB you interned at? There are a handful of small ones around Menlo Park I assume. No way you would do analyst work in an IB though unless your parents are connected. Did you do secretarial work?

I need only one more class for Haas, which I will take in the Winter or Spring BUT I did not mention in the academic HISTORY that I will take this class in either semester?!

With the current budget crisis, how could one know that he/she will be able to take specific classes?

Did I just misread the OP or do applicants have to indicate in the UC App the classes that they WILL take?

Well, for one thing, I’m an international student. I worked at competitive intelligence at a French investment bank back in 2008. Mainly data collection on the funds of our competitors. Was a good thing to write about because I worked there in the middle of the financial crisis.
My IB’s pretty legit, though. Managing about 4 bil euros in assets. Sure, it ain’t Goldman Sachs, but it’s pretty fine.
And, yes, zwip778, you’re expected to list classes that you plan on taking.

I believe haas admitted 10 international students last year. Only 2 international students from de anza got into haas and one chose to go to Stern.

Eh, the statistics for international students transferring from CCCs seem kinda fuzzy, I’m not too bent on paying them any heed.
Planning your classes for spring doesn’t seem such an issue if you know what classes you need to take…

Random monkey, hope you get into haas. Only person I know on this site who has been as persistent as me and wants to go to haas is you. I’m Cupertinotransfr btw…before I got banned for no reason. ;)

sonomono, which country are you from? and how did you manage to get your internship? I thought international students aren’t allowed to work while on student visa. Off-campus at least!

Although i dont post much here, i hope you guys get in as well. I’ve seen you guys post on almost every Haas related post. Hope to you see guys at Berkeley in the future
