is the science and humanity scholar program prestigious? I don't know if it is too late to join, but I just found out I was accepted (long story).Anyway, what is it? Is it worth it?

SHS is a pretty good program (i dunno much about prestige, but I believe you get automatic honors). It's a dual program between HSS and MCS (humanities and science colleges), and it's really good for people who want to major in something in each college - like Biology and Spanish, or anything of that sort. It means you have priority for registering for classes in both colleges rather than just your home college. It also means that it is really easy to switch majors between the two schools (I know a girl in SHS who switched from Biology to Economics, and all she had to worry about were the major-specific classes, not the general requirements). However, being in SHS means you have one more required class than either HSS or MCS alone (i think it's just one more class, not too sure about the detail on this one).
Also, SHS students have the option of living together with other SHS students on New House, 5th floor.
