Shuttle to B-Town Airport

This is my first time in Alabama and the first time I’m heading home for the holidays.I have flown from Birmingham before but I used the eshuttle to go Birmingham but it was 100 dollars each way.As college student in budget, I can’t afford that. Does anyone know the about the Birmingham door to door shuttle or the campus shuttle?I got 6:10 am flight from Birmingham.Any suggestions would be appreciated.

That 6:10 am flight is gonna be a problem. You should post a message on the facebook group “University of Alabama class of 2014” wall and see if anyone is heading to B’ham and can give you a ride (offer to pay gas). Gonna be lots of kids heading that way but maybe not at 4am.

Or maybe you can “hire” someone with a car to drive you. College students can always use some extra cash and someone might be willing to drive you there for $50 - $60 or so.

What day are you leaving?

Here’s a link to the UA shuttle but it doesn’t leave early enough for you. [Student Affairs | Housing & Residential Communities](http://housing.ua.edu/on_campus/shuttle.cfm)

The Birmingham Door to Door shuttle costs $80 one way or $115 roundtrip, plus gratuity. Unless you could find someone going to Birmingham at a similar time as you, a shuttle will be the cheapest option. Next time, be sure to choose flight times that allow you to use the UA shuttle. Those of us flying long distances know all to well that housing needs to schedule shuttle times that work with the majority of flight times ie departures to BHM at 3am, 8am, 11am, and 2 pm, and shuttles to campus at 11am, 5pm, and 11pm. Going to the west coast, I often fly out of BHM in the afternoon and return to BHM on a redeye and wait for the first shuttle.

Do contact housing about scheduling an early morning shuttle for the next school year or [hopefully] for spring break this year. Oftentimes, the early morning flights cost less and allow us to arrive home at more reasonable hours.

The school organized shuttle is $60 roundtrip.

Will your return flight time allow you to use this?

Y’all need to complain to housing that their shuttle times aren’t early enough.

which day are you leaving?

put up some signs around the dorms where you live to see if anyone will offer you a ride.

my DD has taken strangers (friends of friends) to the airport. they usually offer to pay half of parking. so one time it was 24 dollars for half the parking. this time parking will be more (more days), but still less than the birmingham door to door.
