Siblings Legacy

How much are siblings weighted as legacy at penn? I have two siblings there, the same GPA as they did when they applied, and equal if not better extracurriculars. my SATs are higher ( i have a 2320) after taking it once. Could having two siblings there be a hook? I have no parents there though. SAT II"s are 720 and 760 by the way. Thanks!

You are not considered a legacy, but if you mention how your siblings currently attend it will probably help you a bit.

While you are not formally a legacy, having a sibling who has attended or currently attends Penn will give you an advantage comparable to being a legacy. There was an article that discussed this issue in the Daily Pennsylvanian last year.

^ Here’s that DP article:

[The Daily Pennsylvanian :: Siblings get a boost in Penn admissions](Siblings get a boost in Penn admissions | The Daily Pennsylvanian)

How come siblings aren’t really considered legacy? I thought it was known as sibling legacy.

You are in GOOD shape. Best of luck.
