Sick and tired of liberal professors

Source? And there are multiple factors which is why climate models vary so much.

What have you all turned my thread into! ***?!

I believe the cap and trade bill would only decrease co2 emissions by ~1% over 10 years, but I could be wrong…

It could decrease it by 1% or 75% - it won’t make a difference to the global temperture.

I think we both know you are not sure of that…

That was before the record-high summer of 06. Please try again.

Oh hello, Logic Warrior! I think I might know you from a past life ;)

That’s probably the fault of the person that stuck liberal in the thread title even though their post was about some crackpot whose views had little to do with any established political ideology.

All your threads belong to us!

to the OP: Your prof was angry at you for questioning her, but then says you don’t question things?

global warming people: I don’t think any of you are specialized enough in climate science or whatever field it is that studies this sort of thing to make any coherent argument about it. Thus, believe the people who do know something about climate science.

^ Nice catch.

It’s hypocritical to say that we are always to question the perceived reality, but never the conspiracy.

^^

Anyhow, shouldn’t we worry about pollution, which (in all odds) will make this world uninhabitable (or, at the very least, a worse place to live) long before global warming?

Pollution is the cause of man-made global warming.

Global warming is mainly caused by pollution, but not all pollution will lead to global warming. For example, many carcinogens have no effect on global warming, but they’ll do the human race in at just as brisk a pace or faster. (bit convoluted wording, but you get the point)

wait what is this thread about again?

It’s about sum dude who is making a generalization about liberals based off of his extreme right wing professor who he is calling “liberal”.

Yes polution is a problem. Carbon Dioxide is not a polution. We breathe out CO2 everyday. The earth releases more CO2 through volcanoes and crap than humans ever have.

If you want to make a Cap and Tax to rein in Carcinogens or whatnot I’m all for it. If you want to rein in CO2 you’re just an insane anti-business loon.

Sorry to burst your bubble I guess but CO2 parts per million have increased from 285 to 385 since the Industrial Revolution started.
