Yes, it’s always good to have a stash of comfort foods on hand (each of us has a different idea of what this is). Lots of fluids and lots of rest (& naps) is key to recovery & keeping healthy!

My daughter swears by the product “Emergen-C” a concoction of vitamin C and other minerals available in powder form in many flavors that you add to water (hot or cold) and drink. She says it makes her feel better right away, and if she takes a dose when she feels a cold coming on, it wards off the full-fledged version.

Hasn’t Zicam been shown to have very serious side effects?

Feel better soon, OP!

I heard on the news a few months ago that the nose swab Zicam things could damage your sense of smell. My mom still uses them, I do not. I didn’t find them to be particularly effective anyway, I just stick to vitamin C and occasionally will take echinacea.

Interestingly enough, I forced the issue that “flu like symptoms” is not a diagnosis (I was really annoyed that I had to walk a mile to the health center with a 102 temp for THAT), had bloodwork and a strep test done, and DO NOT have the flu. I desperately needed antibiotics and would not have gotten them otherwise. I also ended up paying $10 for the antibiotics when the doctor would have had me pay $100 for tamiflu when that wasn’t even what I needed. The flu paranoia is starting to get on my nerves.

On the plus side, I got free matzah ball soup.

^^I think the above poster is a ■■■■■…if you look through all their posts they look like ones made to make people fight…so please ignore them

hence my ■■■■■ comment

EDIT: Really? You called me a “whore of Babylon” in a PM…that’s mature

Whore of babylon? XD

I just heard on the news that there is a confirmed case of TB at boyfriend’s school a town over from me. Peaaaachy. He just so happened to have a chest x ray today, so I am hoping that if he had TB it would show in that and that he is fine. I think he may go for a test tomorrow anyway just to be on the safe side.
