i found these at http://www.funkyribbons.com and they are so funny! i especially like the I Like Sex and Support the Magnetic Ribbon Industry ones.

why would you be sick of support our Troops?

They are the very reason why you live today. have some respect for the people who will do a job you are to scared to do.

Its just a ribbon dude, I don't see how it bothers you that much.

I agree that we should support the troops, but buying a 2 dollar magnetic ribbon made in China doesn't do the trick. These people should give some money to the USO, which helps with the MWR of the troopsd.

I support our troops, but I do not support this war in Iraq and I do not support our president.

I support our troops, I run an organization, sending them knives throgh a Military forum for free. The standard issue knives suck,.

thats the funniest thing ive heard all day

So Vperricone, why are you too afraid to do the job that apparently keeps us alive?

Im not afraid, Im in school now and chose not to go that route. If called upon, id be more than glad and would be happy to go and help out. But in my currect financial situation with a current scholorship and grants, It wouldent be smart for me to join, id loose them.

I was directing my comment at fromarthistory, as he said he was sick of items which support the troops.

tetrahedron: People don't have to join the armed forces to support troops. In fact, if so many people joined the armed forces, we wouldn't have people like scientists trying to find treatments and vaccines to deadly diseases, engineers, architectures, and construction workers to make buildings, businessmen improving the economy, or students studying to contribute to society in the future.

We can't all be troops. Look at Vperricone's age. I bet he's in college. There are ways to contribute to a better America other than fighting for it.

Very True become an Engineer
http://www.boston.com/news/globe/editorial_opinion/oped/articles/2005/08/25/engineers_dont_get_enough_respect/

^^...So true.

Also some people don't exactly know what engineering is.

There was a student who went to Johns Hopkins, and what she thought was bioengineering was actually biomedical engineering (big differences there). Some people in my school also seem to think that biochemical engineers and biochemists are the same thing. Pssh! Not really.

Just a side note: biochemical and chemical engineers have a potential to make tons of cash if any of you out there are greedy for $$$. Even if you only have a bachelor's in biochem/chem engineering, you can still get an awesome job.

You cannot be against the war in Iraq and say you support the troops. That is like saying you are against black quarterbacks, but support Donovan McNabb.

I agree. I don't appreciate that so often, in my life, I have been told that I should join the military by people who have nothing to do with it whatsoever.

I don't see what you mean. If it were up to me, the troops would never have gone to war, thus saving some 2000 of them. Thus I am supporting them better by being against the war, or at least for the speediest completion possible.

I don't support the war in Iraq, but I support the troops and I'm glad these ribbons are out. Sometimes we civilians tend to forget about those we don't see, especially if we're not directly affected by having these people gone.

:)

"You cannot be against the war in Iraq and say you support the troops. That is like saying you are against black quarterbacks, but support Donovan McNabb."

actually thats like saying you support black quaterbacks but not donovan mcnabb, but even that analogy blows

THAT IS NOT TRUE! You can support the troops, but be against the war. I support US soldiers, but I do not feel that they should be in Iraq. It is Bush's fault, not theirs.

You forget that this is their JOB. Its what they do. Whether they were forced in due to financial reasons or wanted to. Do you think every soldire in Iraq supports the purpose, id hope the majoity do but some dont. Its their job and the HAVE to be their, they have No choice anymore.

Just like the 11 brave men who dropped the Bomb on Hiroshima, do you think they trulky wanted to kill 70k people and later close to 150k people. I highly doubt that, wether they supported it or not, Its their job. they are told what to do and they are to do so.

Like being a stock boy at Wal-Mart. You do as you are told., You may be a Vegatarian, but you still have to help the butches stock the meats on the self for the consumers.

what should we have done then? you will grow up one day and get a mind and relize, we have to be their.

I pretty much defended my position as Unearth in these posts.
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=91179&page=2

I will take nothing that Unearth says seriously. I have seen him make prejudiced slurs against homosexuals, using words like "fag". And Vperricone, there are plenty of people who are "grown up" who do not support the war either, so spare me please. He justified the war to us, saying that he believed Saddam to have weapons of mass destruction. THEY DID NOT! And there are links between Al Queida and essentially every nation in the Middle East, that is no reason to go to war. This war was a mistake, and we should have focused our efforts towards capturing Bin Laden who ATTACKED OUR NATION! And Vperricone, I am not so sure how accountable you are either, after all, you are racist....see the VMA's thread anyone who does not believe me...
