<p>Your Korean or Japanese-American friends must be dorks about 35% of married US born Korean and Japanese Americans are married to WFs.</p>
<p>And the complaint really isnt about how EAMs cant get WFs, but rather how EAMs are negatively portrayed in the media, while EAFs are pretty much always portrayed w/ WMs (and to a lesser extent BMs even tho, the AF/BM coupling is relatively rare).</p>
<p>And its really not any harder for Desi guys about 20% of married US born/raised desi males are married to WFs which is about the average for all the Asian ethnicities.</p>
<p>The difference btwn the South Asians and East Asians is in the disparity in outmarriages to whites EA females outmarry at almost 2:1 ratio compared to EA males, while desi males and females outmarry at pretty much the same rate.</p>
<p>This is in no small part due to the fetishization of EAFs in the media, the emasculation of EAMs in the media - along w/ the predominant portrayal of AFs coupled w/ WMs.</p>
