<p>Most asian dudes that complain about not being able to get with white girls are the ones that won't be able to get girls regardless of their races.</p>
<p>As I keep saying, it's the individual and not the race.</p>
<p>^ Otoh, AMs who don't complain still have to overcome the negative stereotypes.</p>
<p>And let's face it, a dorky WM is going to have an advantage over a dorky AM due to stereotypes.</p>
<p>this is very true, but I guess I was trying to say that overcoming the stereotypes isn't as hard as some make it out to be.</p>
<p>If one doesn't fit the stereotype, it will show in the first 5mins of meeting somebody new anyway.</p>

<p>There was a study done where blacks and whites looked at photos of black and white persons.</p>
<p>As expected, all the whites had a more favorable reaction when gazing upon an image of a white person.</p>
<p>Otoh, some of the blacks in the study (to their shock) had a more favorable reaction upon gazing at an image of a white person than they did a black person.</p>
<p>Those who had a more favorable reaction upon seeing images of blacks were younger blacks who had been exposed to more positive images of blacks in the media. The blacks who had a more favorable reaction upon seeing images of white were older and grew up when the only real positive images were of whites.</p>
<p>Besides, even if one didn’t fit the stereotype – the attitudes in parts of Europe as well as S. America generally are different towards Asian males.</p>
<p>Plus, an Asian male FOB is generally ridiculed for speaking w/ an accent, etc. while Asian female FOBs are generally seen as “cute”.</p>
