siemens-westinghouse or intel science competition

What is the difference between siemens-westinghouse and intel competition? can you participate both?

of course you can...

there are fewer applicants in Siemens-Westinghouse and it is more paper-based.

BUT, the "Junior Nobel Prize" goes to the winner of INtel STS

sr6622,

has anyone won both?

I'm really not aware of a person who has won both....

But winning any of these is absolutely amazing...

I actually know one of the Siemens finalists this year: Luyi Zhao, '05 rickoid and all-around crazy. I'm sooo jealous, but he's a pretty chill guy. Too bad that means my zip code has a lot of competition :(

can you participate both with one project?

ummm...generally, everyone does...

What do you mean by "paper-based"?

Siemens just takes into account your research paper, whereas Intel is like a college app. It asks for test scores, transcript, letters of rec, essays, and other stuff which help evaluate your potential as a scientist

Like they look more at your actual paper....idk...just what i've heard on these boards

<< >>

OHH. Right, like that.

Uh I am SO doing Siemens next year. I won't even bother with Intel.

siemens is amazing..do it

hey that 16 year old homeschooled guy won seimens ( i think) yesterday. He got a 100k scholarship.
