Who's going for it?

I am, along with 1500 other people.

Yeah, I was just seeing if anyone on CC was

Me too. Just finished editing paper, sent out for some outside editing help, and then fedex on thursday.

I am. Computer Science: programming languages/type theory/compilation

Nice. I'm doing Physics, numerical analysis of superconductors and josephson junctions

I will (math, partitions) if only I can master latex between now and now.

latex rocks!

I'm doing it, too. (biology: immunology)

$@#!, it's usually 1500 kids? i thought it was 300/1000 are semifinalists... damn.... mine was on civil engineering (pretty simple stuff, sorta) nothing insane... I'm hoping for semifinalist and that's it.... sent it today

Hmmm... is it harder to make semi's with team or individuals? What about in South Region?

That's not cool...Western region is half the country
How outstanding are the semifinalist projects?

How about everyone put up their title? Or should we wait till Tuesday?

Let's wait, as not everybody has turned something in yet........:(

yeah, ok. How about an "Official Siemens Westinghouse 2005" thread on like monday 5pm? We have two going right now. This is a big part of my motive for doing siemens, because I want to be exposed to what others are doing.

Sounds good :)
I'm really curious to see what everybody's doing!

How hard is it to make it to semi-finalist as a Team from South Region?

Also, while we wait, can someone explain what happens after semi's? I am not clear on that, since 50 ppl told me 50 different things.

Don't you need to be with a partner unless you are a senior?

Yes... I am a junior and have a junior partner. (Two person team)

I'm trying to cut down my paper to fit the 20 page limit.. and I still need to add a conclusion.. Also, I didn't subdivide my introduction like they wanted, into purpose, pertinent literature, etc. do you think it makes a difference if i'm not explicit? more titles means more space used up.
