My daughter got an interview from Siena. Is there going to be another interview from Albany Medical college? Can someone please let me know if there will be just one interview for applicant or two (one form Siena and one from Albany Med School),
Thanks in advance!
@Pam1972 Though my D did not apply to Sienna, if I remember correctly, there will be an interview by AMC before any BD/MD acceptance is given. Is Sienna asking for in person or phone interview? Did they give the purpose of the interview since many UG college have an interview either for Honors college (which itself may a pre-req for BS/MD program) or first level screening before they pass it to AMC.
@GoldenRock, Thank you for the information.They mentioned that it is Undergrad interview on the same day of the Sienna college tour. I was wondering if this interview will be deciding the medical college admission. As you mentioned this must be pre-req for AMC. Thanks again!
My D applied to both Siena/AMC and Union/AMC. On behalf of Union/AMC, AMC has sent her an email, asking to fill an AMC application for the 8 year Leadership in Medicine (LIM) program. There was no separate interview from Union college. Since, she did not receive an interview from Siena/AMC, does it mean that she was eliminated from Siena/AMC opportunity?
@midwestFem, my D went for college visit and that was an informal one on one with a student. Looks like interview is not mandatory.
I got accepted into the Siena/Albany program a couple years back. The day is structured so you have a tour with a faculty member, speak with a current student about their experiences, and have a joint lunch which the other interviewees for that day. It’s important to set a good impression through these interactions. At some point during the day, candidates are interviewed by a three-person “panel” which consists of the program director, an admission representative from Siena College and an admissions representative from Albany Medical College.
I hope this helps and best of luck to your daughter!
@doc2022, Thank you so much!
