How is Sig Ep, I'm a current member of Sig Ep at a different university and I'm thinking about transferring. However, a big part of the decision is based on this.

As far as I remember, Sig Eps are known as the goodie-goodies of the fraternities at CMU. Supposed to be gentlemen and all that stuff. Dunno how true it is since I didn't really know many people in fraternities while at CMU.

Famed for the best booths during Carnival. They made a Titanic booth this past Spring.

they are known to be the "southern gentleman" of cmu. They really are a sweet bunch and very welcoming.
Here is a link to statistics of frats/sororities on campus. If i recall correctly, sig ep had the highest average gpa on cmapus.

there is also greek awards at the end of the year and sigep received most of the frat awards.

its not a very typical fraternity in that almost anyone can join the fraternity. not surprisingly, there are like 80 guys in this fraternity and this does not create as much unity and brotherhood as the other fraternities at cmu or even the sig ep's at other schools. but i can definitely agree with everyone above about their really gentleman-like qualities. they are a very well-rounded and physically fit frat. they do several of the events in carnival(our spring fling good times event) such as buggie, booth, and a play.

Heh, yeah, I remember when my roommate freshman year was joining SigEp. He'd join the buggy team on their exercise runs. It was something like run down to the Cathedral of Learning at Pitt, run up ten flights of stairs, do a bunch of pushups, run up more stairs, etc etc etc. Then he'd come back completely sweaty and crash on his bed to take a nap. I really should have had a bottle of febreeze to spray him with. :(
