sig figs and lack of calcs on ap chem?

Do we have to have these all exactly right on all the free response questions? I always mess them up and i don't want to lose massive points for soemthign like that.

Also,
Is the math pretty easy w/o a calculator? I dont think there is a released test out yet that was non-calc. I tried doing some of the older ones w/o a calc even though i later found out I could use one. I almost always estiamte wrong. Even when I have the right idea about the problem.

You are allowed to be one digit off on significant figures. And the math without a calculator...sometimes its bad but usually its ok.

for chem, the math w/out a calc isn't too bad.

now physics on the other hand............... completely different story.

you can be off by 1 sig fig --> the math isn't too brutal on MC..... like you have 32 grams of oxygen and you have to somehow convert it into moles for stoich or somethin.

Another Question:
Do you have to have proper units after every answer?
